Jonathon 1 month later

I was at Lake Constance (Bodensee) last week, teaching.

Here is a great foto taken on the 5th of October of Leah, Silke and Jonathon.

They all had just arrived 20Km away for a few weeks of Reha..

It was a joy to be able to talk with Jonathon (albeit that he's speaking slowly) and watch him be able to get around. He is dragging the left side which is obviously partially paralysed, but he IS walking.

Please keep the prayers going as there are signs of epilepsy on the EEG and he's just not the old Joni. Pray specifically that as he has the plaster on the left arm removed this week that he'll start to use the arm / hand more and that his walking would improve more.

Praise God for what He has done and for what He is doing and will do in the future in Joni's life and that of his family. This weekend the Grandparents (Wolfgang and Erika) will also visit along with Michael and the other two children, Simon and Miriam.

Here again is Jonathon.
He laughs so wonderfully
from the stomach out!

He may get home for the
Autumn holidays
(30th October -5th November)
or may be all that week still in Reha.

The family just can't wait to be re-united.

Jonathon

We have been in constant prayer for Jonathon since last Wednesday (5 days ago).
He is the youngest son (5) of Silke and Michael - good friends in our House Group.

Last week, whilst on holiday in Passau, he was riding his bike and hit an UPS truck doing 50Km/hr. His helmet was broken in 3 places. He still hasn't woken from the coma, although he seems to recognise people and sometimes calls out "Mama" or "Auto".
In these photos he's asleep - he is looking relatively awake when he opens his eyes.

Joachim and I went to visit them today. His left arm was plastered as we were there - a fracture in his hand. His left side seems paralysed - but the Dr.'s say there's no brain bleeding and no skull fractures.

If you know our God, please pray for him.

Jan in Portugal in August

For more photos of our Teeny Mission Trip to Caldas da Rainha this summer, go to www.bgab.de then onto the "Portugal...Link" side. Then look up "Bildergalerie". We'd a great time there, which was very challenging for all. If it's no longer available I guess I'll have to put a few more photos onto this side.

The Family

Here are some photos taken in Heidelberg on Mutti / Mama / Omi's Birthday (April 19th).

Joachim and Jenny.
